Mizzou Magazine

In the most recent issue of “Mizzou” the magazine of the Mizzou Alumni Association, Homecoming takes a center role as the magazine previews the fall football season and the many Homecoming events.

To the left is the official logo for the 99th Homecoming, “Tradition set in Stone,” that will be featured on merchandise and displayed throughout the Homecoming season. Details on merchandise are forthcoming.

This year also makes the 25th anniversary of the blood drive witch is “one of the top three college-based programs nationwide.”

The magazine also prominently features the three student tri-directors for this year’s Homecoming, Tony Wirkus, Maggie Glenski and Ben Grosdidier. Each answered a series of questions about Homecoming and life in general.

Tony Wirkus

Best idea I’ve had as a director: Creating a traditions committee so two students can focus on preserving the spirit of Homecoming across campus.

Glad I did it but wouldn’t do it again: Climbed a mountain in Utah while wearing flip-flops.

Maggie Glenski

My best idea as a director: Expanding Homecoming awareness through social media, such as Facebook, Twitter and a blog.

Glad I did it but wouldn’t do it again: Attended clown camp.

Ben Grosdidier

What the Homecoming theme means to me: “Tradition Set in Stone” is a great way to symbolize that Homecoming will always be here.

Glad I did it but wouldn’t do it again: Parasailing in Mexico. I got bored, but at least I can say I did it.
