Homecoming Centennial Coloring Contest

Annually, those who love MU tradition come together to commemorate one of Mizzou’s most beloved traditions, Homecoming. This year, a new tradition was instated in order to get those future Missouri Tigers involved and excited for the celebration of Homecoming’s 100th birthday. By participating in a coloring contest, which featured Truman the Tiger celebrating on Faurot Field, children of the Columbia community as well as children of Mizzou alumni were able to make their mark on the Homecoming Centennial. Roughly 300 students participated in the contest and a total of 6 winners were chosen amongst two separate age groups.

 For the age group of kindergarten through 2nd grade, the winner’s were first place, Caineya (K) from Parkade Elementary School, second place, Keila (2) from Parkade Elementary School and third place, Jadce (1) from Mill Creek Elementary School. For the age group of 3rd grade through 5th grade, the winner’s were first place, Grace (3) from Parkade Elementary School, second place, Landrie (3) from Southern Boone County Elementary School and third place, DuViona (3) from Mill Creek Elementary School. We congratulate the winners of the contest and sincerely thank all participants.
